Kerri Marcinko

Soprano Kerri Marcinko, who made her Company debut as Frasquita in Carmen (2008), returns as Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (2009). She is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and a graduate of the Houston Grand Opera Studio. Recent performances include Micaëla in Carmen with New York City Opera; Leonora in Il Trovatore with Toledo Opera; Smaragda in The Masterbuilder with Greek National Opera; Alice Ford in Falstaff and Antonia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann with Festival de Belle-Ile, France; and the Verdi Requiem with the Richmond Symphony. She created the role of Missy in the world premiere of Tod Machover's Resurrection at Houston Grand Opera, and later reprised the role with Boston Lyric Opera. Her Aspen Opera Theater debut as Anne Trulove in The Rake's Progress was broadcast on NPR. She made her Carnegie Hall debut with the New England Symphonic Ensemble, singing masses by Beethoven and Charpentier. Other roles include Tosca at Opera East Texas; Mimi in La Bohème with Nashville Opera; and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni with the Bellingham Festival of Music. Future engagements include Leonora in Il Trovatore with San Antonio Opera.
